Street Football Wales Launches new league in Newport
SRtRC supports SFW at their launch in Newport with Football Freestyler Ash Randal
More on this article...
Street Football Wales (SFW) is a social inclusion project which currently runs in South Wales. All teams participating in the league are made up of people aged 16 and above who face social exclusion through homelessness, substance misuse, mental ill health and cultural issues. Others may have been involved in the criminal justice system or have been unemployed long term.
SRtRC met with SFW a while ago and showed our support of the project and its aims in Wales. See HERE.
The project has now launched a second league in Newport and participants showed their support for SRtRC on the day.

Football Freestyler and 3 time world record holder Ash Randal, who will be performing at our Schools Competition Ceremony this month helped to launch the day.
The popular Sport Wales television programme on BBC2 Wales also featured a section on the Street Football Wales project on 30th March, with SRtRC patron and Swansea City star Ashley Williams supporting the occasion.
SRtRC will continue to work with SFW in the near future.
